Interiors

The term “Interiors” typically describes projects that many homeowners are not only most interested in, like kitchens and baths, but are often the most misinformed about.  It is our opinion that in this HGTV world, most of what viewers see is not based in reality.

There are dozens of magazines, endless blogs, podcasts, televisions shows and even whole networks dedicated to showing viewers what is possible and how to do it.  Now, it is not our intention to immediately dismiss what information is out there, there are some really great resources available for the motivated. However, there is also a lot that is not!

What many of these resources fail to explain is that most projects are too complicated for the average “do it yourselfer”. They rarely share the actual timelines. And they often fail to accurately describe the real costs. Now, we would venture to say that most of these outlets are not out to fool you necessarily, however, they do usually want something from you in return like readership/viewership, likes and reviews or actual product purchases. So, they keep their advice and programs brief and flashy, with maybe just a little minor drama mixed in for entertainment, and they always end with beautiful results. This approach leaves many potential dreamers suffering from a very strong case of misrepresented reality.

TRUTH: Most projects involving more than a paint job can become complicated. And with complication can come additional costs, over and above the real cost. Which unfortunately, is usually more than most clients expect.

So, with all the potential confusion in mind, here’s another way CDDC can help you. Please share your thoughts on what and who inspired you. Be truthful about what you really know about timelines and what costs you expect.  Then, let us share our 25+ year experience in the real world of design and construction. We will compare notes and get you there with truth, patience and confidence, offering you a respectful and knowledgeable guide to making the right decisions early, so you can start with clarity and end with realistic, satisfying, valuable, and yes, beautiful results!
